Region I Representatives Michelle and Steve share an update!
Video description and transcript: Michelle Cline and Steve Lovi stand inside NAD Headquarters. A small white NAD logo appears on bottom right corner.
MICHELLE: Hello from Washington, DC! We’re here for our first Board meeting. We’re excited because Steve is starting a new term as Region I Representative and I still have two more years left in my term.
STEVE: On Thursday we had our first team building activity, with the old and new board members. Afterwards, we participated in Deaf Grassroots Movement (DGM)’s rally in Silver Spring, Maryland. It was a great event. Later that evening, we joined DCAD for dinner.
MICHELLE: Then on Friday, we went to Gallaudet University to visit the Model Secondary School for the Deaf (MSSD) and Kendall Demonstration Elementary School (KDES). It wonderful to meet with the students. We also had the opportunity to meet with the outreach department at the Clerc Center. Afterwards, we had lunch with Gallaudet University President Bobbi Cordano – she is a phenomenal woman. In the afternoon, we discussed the five priorities.
STEVE: Then on Saturday, we discussed where the NAD stood with the Vision 2020 Strategic Plan. In the afternoon, Michelle and I joined MDAD for their 60th Anniversary event.
MICHELLE: Please contact us if you have questions and if you want to know more about the NAD. We’re here for you Region I!
Video fades to a soft white background with several different font types showing "NAD" very quickly. Copyright video ends with the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) logo centered.
