To celebrate the start of the 2016-2017 academic year, Gallaudet University President Roberta J. Cordano gave a Welcome Back speech on September 8, 2016. The third annual Berry Blossom Festival, sponsored by the Office of the President, Campus Activities, and Residence Life, was held after the speech.
