Another Shooting Death at the Hands of Cops

Barely one day after a video surfaced of cops in Baton Rouge, Louisiana shooting a man on the ground, another video has surfaced of cops near Minneapolis shooting another Black man.
The incident took place around 9pm Wednesday, July 6th in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, near Minneapolis. After being pulled over for a busted tail light, The victim, Philando Castile, was shot after reaching for his wallet.
In the car with him was his girlfriend, identified as Diamond Reynolds, and a young girl, presumed to be her daughter. Reynolds live-streamed the immediate aftermath of the shooting on Facebook. In the first minute of the video, Reynolds explains that the officer asked her boyfriend for his license and registration, and that he told the officer he had a pistol and was licensed to carry. She claims that before the shooting, her boyfriend was trying to get his ID from his wallet in his back pocket, after the cops were asking for it. The St. Anthony's Police Department doesn't have body cameras, according to the department's office manager
Family remembers Castile as a good kid who has never been to jail, has a clean record, laid-back, and is a hard worker at a school cafeteria.
Around 3am Thursday morning, protesters had begun to gather outside the Minnesota Governor's Residence. An investigation is underway and protests continue to grow as the nation’s frustration reaches an all time high after another black man has been killed by police.
