Anticipatory Structures is a term coined by Laura Mauldin who is an author of the book, "Made to Hear : Cochlear Implants and Raising Deaf Children" It is an eye-opener and it helps me to understand how the Early Intervention and Newborn Screening Hearing Test had caused anxiety among new mothers and their babies. The system is already in place to help parents to feel reassured that their babies can hear and speak with current technology. This is to help the Deaf Community to come up with a new strategy how to reframe and revise our approaches to educate parents or expecting mothers.
