Do Christians hate LGBTQ?

Dear Christians, your theological interpretation on LGBTQ is wrong. If you are able to ignore the verses in the Bible that allows slavery and if you say that slavery is morally wrong. Then you should also ignore the homophobic verses in the Bible. After all, there are verses where Jesus say that God everyone equally. Unfortunately, this theological misinterpretation has led to discrimination of the LGBTQ community for many years.
Let me give you examples: In the 50's, there was sodomy laws where gays were put into jail for having anal sex. Then in the 60's, the American Psychology Association labeled gays and lesbians as mentally ill. Then in the 70's, many police aggressively harassed gay and lesbians clubs, that is entering clubs and arresting the patrons without warrants. There was also terrible police brutality. Then in the 80's, there was the AIDS scare. Many preachers blasted from the pulpit that the AIDS was a judgment from God. Then in the 90's, the gays and lesbians was not allowed to serve in the military. They also could not adopt children and did not have legal protection for their shared assets. Gay partners are not considered as family in hospitals. Then in the 2000's, LGBT marriage was a big issue. Many states passed laws against LGBT marriages. And finally, today we are discussing Transgender bathroom laws. So the discrimination is real. It did happen. A large percentage of discrimination was committed by Christians themselves.
The American marriage tradition is a myth. It is an image created through the television in the 50's. When Christians say they are defending "traditional marriage," they are actually defending a tradition from the 50's. It is a false image.
That is why I am challenging Christians to change their theology. Remove homophobic interpretations from your mind. Stand up boldly and say homophobia is not acceptable! Say discrimination should be not tolerated at all! Remember, you are actually ignoring the verses in the Bible that allows slavery, therefore you can do the same for the homophobic verses in the Bible.
