Region IV Representatives Sherri Collins and David Reynolds give a brief report of what's happening in Region IV.

SHERRI: Hello, I'm Sherri Collins.

DAVID: And I'm David O. Reynolds, we're both Region IV Representatives.

SHERRI: We are in Salt Lake City, Utah for the NAD Board meeting. The snow capped mountains are so beautiful here! We've been discussing a lot of issues during the last few days. We'd like to share with you about what's happening in Region IV.

DAVID: That's right, the new year has started which means there are many legislative action taking place in Region IV states. We're encouraging the states to keep an eye and to get involved. If you're involved with a plan in your state, communicate your progress with us. This includes submitting proposals for a bill. Some of your bills actually include LEAD-K's efforts which supports Deaf Education.

SHERRI: Keep an eye on our Region IV Facebook page to stay in the loop of what's happening. We will share posts from different states. If you'd like to know about something or if you'd like to share about something happening in your state, please let us know. We should all share information about what's happening in Region IV. On another note, we are very excited that the NAD Conference will be held this summer in Phoenix, Arizona! A lot of new things will be shared and discussed at the conference. I won't need to go into detail because the conference website will be released soon. However, I will say that we do need volunteers! If you live in the neighboring states next to Arizona and are interested in attending the conference, let us know you'd like to volunteer! We're also looking for volunteers to help with Kids Camp. Exciting things are in the works! We'll see you soon.

DAVID: Please spread the word about the NAD Conference in Phoenix this summer! After all, this is happening in our region, all the more reason to take advantage of the opportunity. We'll see you there!
