Transcript:

Greetings, Gallaudet Community.

My name is Duane Halliburton. I am the chair of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC2014).

We recently completed our interviews of eight semi-finalists and have now selected three finalists. We have been impressed with the candidates thus far and believe that the Board of Trustees and community have a strong choice for President.

We know that many of you are eager for the names of the finalists to be made public. However, confidentiality remains critical at this stage to protect the privacy of the finalists who have not disclosed to others that they are vying for this prestigious position.

It is our intention to make a public announcement of our finalists on the PSAC website in August. In the meantime, we are planning campus visits for our finalists in September. We are on track for the Board of Trustees to make its decision in October.

Thank you for your support. Because of community-wide participation, this is a search that will be very successful. For that, the search committee and Board of Trustees are grateful.
