Officials in Prince George’s County, Maryland are investigating the attack of a 9-year-old girl on a school bus that was captured on cellphone video.

Saraia Collins can be heard yelling, “I’m not gonna fight you!” As the bus pulls away from Highland Park Elementary the verbal assault becomes physical. The cell phone records the relentless blows as Saraia screams in pain.

The bus driver continues on his route and does not intervene. “Even if it isn't his job to break up fights it's still his job to try to prevent it,” Saraia said. The school district says the bus driver is now under investigation.

Frustrated with how the school responded, Saraia’s family went to Prince George’s County Police. “You should not have to be balled up on a bus cornered beat like that, that is not right.” Saria’s mother told WJLA’s Stephen Tschida.

Saraia’s mother said she had a mild concussion but that the emotional wounds are what caused the most pain. "I'm afraid that if they do the same thing it's gonna happen all over again," Saraia said.

School officials say the young girl inflicting the most severe blows has been suspended and they are interviewing witnesses.
